Vic Alexander took to Instagram to reveal the basic cleaning skills she’s learnt after living alone for eight years.

Although the cleaning tips might not not seem obvious, the keen cleaner reckons everyone should know them.

With Christmas right around the corner you might be enjoying a glass or two of red wine, which means you’ll need to know the best way to get rid of stains when someone inevitably spills some.

Hydrogen peroxide can totally remove red wine stains by carefully dabbing it and then washing as normal.

“Keep in mind it has a bleaching effect so is best used on lighter fabrics,” Vic added.

And if you’ve got an old radiator in your home, don’t bother trying to reach into all the nooks and crannies when dusting.

Instead, the keen cleaner recommends grabbing a cheap radiator cleaning brush from Amazon to make it easier for yourself.

The brushes have a specially designed shape that will easily get rid of dust from the places you might’ve otherwise missed.

You don’t even need any posh cleaning products, just dish soap and warm water to wipe away any other marks that might still be on the radiator after dusting.

When it comes to mopping your floor, Vic explained that over the years she’s learnt the best thing to do is keep it simple.

“Stop the chemical charcuterie board when mopping your floors!

“All you need is hot water, boiling is great, and a touch of pine sol or anti bac cleaner if preferred,” she said.

It turns out that using the wrong products can leave a nasty film on your floors that can build up over time, but sticking to hot water and an anti bacterial cleaner will work wonders.
